Classic wardrobe staples in the Black Friday sale
With the Black Friday sales in full swing (and it’s not even Friday!), it is easy to get caught up in the sales buzz and buy items you don’t necessarily need. Therefore I will only be keeping my eye out for discounted classic wardrobe staples. So far these are my top picks in the categories shoes, outerwear and knitwear.
Shoes:
Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots: I go on and on about these boots đ but they really are a wardrobe staple if you tend to dress casually. They are currently 20% off in charcoal grey (use code MORE18) and 50% off here in beige. If you prefer the Hiline boots they are also 50% off here.
Jimmy Choo Romy pumps: If you are looking for an alternative to the Christian Louboutin Pigalle pumps I think the Romy’s are perfect. They are currently 30% off here with the code BF30.
Ankle boots: So far I haven’t seen my Christian Louboutin Adox boots on sale, but I found these alternatives that are currently 50% off in the USA only.
Outerwear:
A good wool or cashmere coat is an essential part of a workwear or slight dressy wardrobe. Love the three below, they are currently 30% off with the code BF30. I wanted the Max Mara one in the middle, but my size has sold out already đ

Knitwear
I love finding cashmere and wool sweaters on sale especially since these are winter staples that I tend to use a lot so I need them to last me more than one season and most importantly they need to be warm.

I would like your advice, if you don’t mind, regarding the best investment coat. I have seen the Kate and Meghan model coats from Sentaler (a brand based in Canada). These coats are quite expensive and the quality seems to be very good. I fell in love with both models and I would like to have your opinion on this. Do you know this brand? Do you think it is worth the money? I know that the names of both coat models come from the Royal girls Kate and Meghan because they have been made espressly for them. Do you think this brand can be compared to Max Mara?
Thank you for your kind reply.

Hi Francesca, I have not heard of the Sentaler brand before, but after your comment I went to their website to have a look. Both coats you mentioned are very nice, but I wonder if the sleeves will look dated in a few years? In comparison to Max Mara… I think Max Mara is such an iconic Italian brand when it comes to classic/sophisticated womenswear and you can’t go wrong with one of their classic coats. What I love most about their designs is that you can wear them at any age, like the Rialto or Manuela for example can be worn by a 20 year old and an 80 year old and both ages would look so sophisticated – it just suits any age and are coats that one would have their entire lifetime!
