I prefer shopping for coats and knitwear as soon as the autumn/winter collections arrive online. In the past, I would wait until the weather got colder and would always end up missing out because by then the best coats in my size would already be sold out. A month or two ago while browsing through the wool coat section in the middle of a heatwave (as one does lol) I came across this beautiful coat in “ivory” (has more of a grey undertone to it) and had to have it.

Made from 100% virgin wool (no lining) the coat is as soft as my Burgos coat from last year. I love the minimalist silhouette and the loose cut of the coat which is ideal for layering. Even though there are no belt loops it does come with an optional matching belt to cinch the waist. It is so sophisticated and elegant, I can see myself coordinating it with muted knitwear and fitted trousers on the weekend.

In terms of warmth, it would easily work in autumn, you might get away with wearing it in countries with milder winters too. It’s also the perfect coat for early spring when the morning and evening can be quite chilly.

For reference, I am 164cm tall and usually a size UK4 in outerwear. This coat is true to size, therefore, I took my usual size. Go up a size if you want to wear chunky knits or prefer the oversized look. Sizes are limited, UK4 is sold out but still available in UK6 – UK18. (Update, found a few size UK 4 still available here and here).

This elegant wool coat also comes in a beautiful pale pink and in a gorgeous light blue.

What is your clothing size in UK sizing. I need to understand the coats sizing and I am also 164 sm tall, but usually UK 8-10 in clothing.
Thanks!

My size varies, I’m UK 4 or UK 6 depending on the cut/fit of the clothing.
