I love summer, but it’s the only season I don’t get excited for in terms of fashion. I would say my summer style is as uncomplicated and minimal as possible and mostly consists of monochrome outfits.

My typical summer outfit combinations are:
- Minimally styled cotton dresses.
- Cotton t-shirts with smart shorts.
- Jeans and white shirts (casual “off-duty” style).
- Long-sleeved linen or cotton shirts paired with white linen trousers.
- Cotton sweaters with light wool trousers.

In summer I prefer natural fibres such as cotton, linen and light wool. I try to avoid polyester as it can get uncomfortable in the heat. Most of my summer basics are from high street stores; H&M, Massimo Dutti and Zara as well as mid-range retailers; Weekend Max Mara and Polo Ralph Lauren. Similarly to autumn, my colour palette is mostly neutral, and occasionally I’ll add blue or black to the mix.
Shoes are where I splurge in summer. I prefer good quality shoes paired with a nice handbag, to pull a plain outfit together. Recent additions to my summer footwear collection are the Hermes Legend wedges, and the Loro Piana Summer Charms Walk loafers.
I would love to know what your summer style is like? Do you have fun with colours and prints or are you more minimal and neutrally styled?
