Some spring and summer inspiration? Escaping the European winter we headed to an African summer! With the weather being so hot, dresses like this coral maxi always kept me cool and comfortable. Now we are back to a snowy Switzerland and I am already missing the African sun!
I don’t know about you, but 2012 for me has been a good year. I started this blog, got to visit many special and memorable places with Markus, pass difficult exams, spend time with my adorable nephews and family in South Africa, connected with interesting people via this blog and accomplished many of 2012’s resolutions. I am a bit sad that it is over so soon but excited about 2013 since I have a few more new years resolutions planned:
- Developing my sewing skills – I recently got a sewing machine! For quite a while I have been thinking about learning to sew, I want to be able to make simple alterations and to be able to work with basic patterns. With my studies nearing the end soon and the direction I want to go with the blog, 2013 is definitely the year to work on this resolution.
- Learn Italian – Markus and I spend a lot of time in Italy and the Italian part of Switzerland so some Italian would be handy. By the end of the year I would like to be able to have a basic conversation in Italian.
- Develop this blog – I want to work on improving the content, when it comes to posts I would like to choose quality over quantity, and finally to work with more social media.
- Fashion resolutions – Experiment more with colour, bold prints and patterns going into Spring and Summer.
These 4 resolutions should keep me busy over 2013 and I hope you will join me through all these experiences. A big thank you to everyone who has read and commented on my blog this year it really means a lot to me. Happy 2013 and do share your links in the comments below of YOUR new years resolutions!
For a while now I have been on the search for a pair of cognac ankle leather booties that are practical to walk in, affordable and easy on the eyes 😉 I was glad to find this pair of “Lindsay” Tommy Hilfiger boots from Zalando that fit all my requirements. They are also available in suede (coffee bean and navy blue). I plan on wearing them with skinny jeans and casual dresses/skirts. What do you think about them?
