Spring has arrived in Zurich! As I get excited about the warmer weather and start planning outfits to wear this spring, I thought it would be fun to chat about spring trends 2018 and three that I am most looking forward to experimenting with this year.
- Frayed Denim Hems: I love this trend the most since I basically live in jeans, so I am always looking for alternative ways to wear denim. I like that the frayed hems add an edgy look to a very classic staple, they look so chic when paired with pumps, sandals or boots. The frayed hems come in straight (like this one from Esprit), skinny (like this one from Net-a-porter) and cropped (like these 3X1 jeans) hems, so there is something for everyone’s jeans style.

- Bold colours: For someone that usually tends to shy away from bold colours, I am surprisingly open to trying out more vibrant colours this spring. I think people that wear bright colours exude confidence as it shows they are bold enough to distinguish themselves from regular “safe” colours that everyone else tends to wear… Bright reds, yellows and greens are all the rage this season, if you are feeling confident then bright outerwear would be the first place to start. On the other hand, if you want to slowly incorporate more colour in your life this spring, then a bright pop of colour from your handbag or shoes would still keep you on trend but not too much out of your comfort zone.

- Ruffles: Ruffles to me are such a fun and feminine way to accentuate simple wardrobe staples. This season ruffles and frills range from demure to extravagant and single to multiple layers. I like how a cute ruffled blouse can instantly dress up a simple pair of jeans and kitten heels outfit.

Which trends are you most looking forward to trying out this spring?
