Blog post request from @lmillycan on Instagram.
In this post, I will share a few outfit ideas using my Giant Triangle and 90 x 90 cm scarves. I’m probably not the best person to write this blog post, because as much as I love Hermes silk scarves, I struggle to make them work as part of my everyday wardrobe. One of the reasons why is because I prefer my outfits to be as minimal as possible. Therefore, I tend to wear my scarves only when I want to add a bit of contrast or some colour to a neutral outfit. Nonetheless, I hope the few outfit ideas using my Hermes scarves below will be useful to someone out there 😀

How do you use your silk scarves?
P.S I am currently self-isolating; therefore, I have a bit more time for blogging. Hence, if there’s something you would like me to post about, please leave a comment below or direct message me on Instagram, and I will try to feature those requests on upcoming blog posts.

Another suggestion for a blog post that I have is about colour. There are so many different ideas about colour matching, colour theory etc. I’m sure that you have your own opinion on the matter of colours, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Lovely post, thank you very much. I personally love Hermes silk scarves and I’ve been carrying my money to Hermes (starting with a scarf, as one does) ever since i’m an adult (20 years by now). To be quite honest, I havent been wearing them much lately. I have a very profane reason for that and I’d love to have your and you community’s opinion on that: its make up stains. I don’t even wear a lot of make up, most days just sunscreen and a bit of concealer or powder. But eventually some product gets rubbed off onto my scarves, and I don’t really like the look of that (and the dry cleaning bill). Has any one else had this problem? Strangely the silk/cashmere scarves don’t seem to attract product transfer as much as silk. Any thoughts?
Have a lovey day you all and please stay home as much as you can. I’m a doctor and I care.

I am relieved to read that I am not the only one struggling to incorporate my scarves in my daily outfits. I don’t know how to avoid the staining, besides having it hang open down, which is also not ideal….

I haven’t experienced makeup transfer as yet, (I rarely ever wear makeup – just sunscreen), however, I have read a thread on the purse forum dedicated to cleaning Hermes scarves. There are many posters on there experiencing the same as you, please read the cleaning suggestions in detail once you have time (there are a few home washing techniques shared). The thread is here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/cleaning-hermes-scarves.37705/

Great post, I too have trouble taking out my scarves, but my issue is that I wear way too much black, especially in fall and winter. It would be lovely to see a post on skincare and how you manage to go without makeup. Do you mind sharing the sunscreen you use? All the best from Finland, Andreea

Thank you for the blog post suggestion! I am currently using the Nivea Sun “Protect & Moisture 30 (Intense Hydration)”spray.

Hi Steffy! As Spring and summer are around the corner, I always struggle with how to dress for days that are above 90°F. Could you help with some tips on outfits that will help us survive during the heat? Especially some with shorts would be extremely helpful! Thank you x

Hi Marisa, thanks for the post suggestions – a blog post on spring and summer outfit ideas is coming soon.
